Experimental Study on the Flame Characteristic of Mixed Fuel Gas
In the dual-gas resources multi-generation system, relaxed gas and remained raw gas, which have a large amount of combustible gas (such as CH4, CO, H2) produced in chemical industry process, are used to generate electricity. Since the properties and flowing parameters of the components are changed with the operating conditions of the system, the basic combustion characteristics of the relaxed gas and remained raw gas with different components are studied by imitating the relaxed gas and raw gas with the mixed gas. Especially, the flame propagation speed which is an important parameter is researched. Single component such as H2, CO,Natural Gas(96% CH4 contained)and two components which are composed by the two of the three kinds above with different ratio are focused on. The height of diffusion flame and pre-mixed flame, flame propagation speed Su with different flux and excess air coefficient α are studied. The results showed that the flame propagation speed of H2, CO, Natural Gas descend in turn, the maximum flame propagation speed present respectively with different α. The inner-flame of H2 becomes thicker and transiting to turbulent flame. The research on multi-component fuel presented that H2 have made great effect on the premixed combustion. The results of the experiment are meaningful for the improvement of the mixed gas characteristics data system.
