The Study of New Type Stainless Steel’s Welding Procedure
SUPER304H,HR3C,XA704 and NF709 are newly imported stainless steels. They come to be used for overheater & reheater tubing system of ultra-supercritical boiler in domestic firepower plants. Nowadays, the welding procedure of these kinds of steel tubes is still uncertain. In order to obtain right welding procedure and ensure quality of butt joint, we have studied the weldability of these steels by experiment. In this experiment, the butt joint of SUPER304H,HR3C,XA704,NF709 and dissimilar steel between these steels to SA-213T91 are welded by GTAW. The properties of these butt joints is researched by tests such as tensile test, bend test, intercryctalline corrosion test, hardness test, chemical analysis of deposit and so on. The right welding procedure has been summarized and puzzles of welding have been solved by experiment and analyzing weldability of these kinds of steels.
