A New Concurrency Control Strategy for Collaborative Teaching and Learning
Concurrency control is one of the keys to maintain the consistency of models, graphics, tables and data for collaborative teaching and learning. This paper describes the background of the collaborative teaching and learning, presents a prototype system of concurrency control for the collaborative teaching and learning, analyzes the factors influencing the transaction priority, utilizes the Fuzzy Mathematics to priority assignment of transactions, develops an object-oriented priority-based optimistic concurrency control protocol (OPOCCP) in real-time replication structure. The main advantages of our approach are the simplicity of operation, good responsiveness, and no dead-lock. The algorithm is application independent, which makes it suitable for general collaborative applications. Finally, an example was taken for expressing the application of the protocol in the collaborative teaching and learning.
