Discussion of the Main Influencing Factors during Electro-Fenton Process
A three electrode system was set up for the electro-Fenton process, in which graphite, Pt and saturated calomel electrode were used as cathode, anode and reference electrode respectively, and Na2SO4 as supporting electrolyte. The main influencing factors of the electro-Fenton process, including pH of cathode electrolyte, current density, oxygen flow, concentration of supporting electrolyte and electrode distance, were examined and discussed in this work. According to the orthogonal test, the optimal parameter combination was: pH=2.0, current density=10.2 A/m2, oxygen flow=0.4 L/min, concentration of supporting electrolyte=0.1 mol/L, electrode distance=6cm. Moreover, the feasibility of exploring new kind of or compound catalyst to overcome the demanding acid condition was investigated, and the ways, including using air as oxygen supply and improve the utilization ratio of electric energy, were also discussed in this paper.
