Study on Preparation of Attapulgite-base Desulphurization Agent and de-SO2 Reaction

A new kind composite desulphurization adsorbent was made from γ-Al2O3, attapulgite (ATP) and some additives, and the metal oxide (CuO) was loaded as an activated part. The influences of ATP content, roasting temperature, water containing rate and the concentration of Cu(NO3)2 on desulphurization capability of SO2 were studied. The results show that the desulphurization adsorbent had good adsorptivity and good ability of desulphurization as a catalysis agent. Its sulfur tolerance was beyond 16%, which was superior to CuO/γ-Al2O3 desulphurizer.
