Supercritical Water Oxidation C.I. Disperse Red 60 Dyeing Wastewater Using Transpiring Water Reactor
C.I. Disperse red 60 dyeing wastewater was treated by supercritical water oxidation in a transpiring water reactor (TWR). Experiments were performed at 25Mpa, 653-733K with oxidant dosage ratio changing from 0.6 to 2.0. COD, TOC, TN and color removal efficiency higher than 98.6%, 97.4%, 83% and 99.8% were achieved. The decomposition efficiency was increased with reaction temperature and oxidant dosage. GC and MS analysis for effluents indicated that several organic compounds I.e. phenol, isoquinoline, 1-indanone, 1,2-benzenedicarboxylic acid, 2,5-dimethylacetophenone and benzenecarboxylic acid were the main oxidation intermediates. The SEM photos of ceramic tube indicated that ceramic tube was corroded and plugged evidently. However, the reactor pressure vessel was not corroded. TWR reactor had a good performance against corrosion in treating C.I. Disperse red 60 dyeing wastewater.
