Treatment of Dye Reactive Brilliant Blue KN-R with Combination of Microwave Irradiation and UV Oxidiation Based on Microwave Electrodeless Lamp
A new method combining of microwave irradiation and microwave electrodeless lamp(MWL) based on microwave electrodeless lamp was applied to reactive brilliant blue KN-R dye wastewater treatment. The efficiencies of the cooperation of MWL and microwave, microwave and solo MWL were investigated respectively. The investigation was focused on the reduction of total organic carbon content (TOC) and color. In a process of alternative absorption and treatment with microwave and MWL, the color and TOC of the solution reduced of about 75% and 73%, respectively. Meanwhile, color and TOC removal efficiency with MWL is better than that with microwave. Process with microwave gave a decolorization of about 65% and 62% TOC reduction. The addition of MWL increased the efficiency of microwave irradiation. And also, the mechanisms of the processes were discussed.
