Simulation of Groundwater Pollution Based on Delaunay Triangulation Method and Analytical Solution of Hydrodynamic Dispersion Equation

In this paper, a new method is explored to locate the source of ground water pollution and simulate the distribution of pollutant. It, based on general Saint-Venant principle, combines the advantages of Delaunay triangulation method and the analytical solution of hydrodynamic dispersion equation, to distinguish the homogeneous areas from heterogeneous areas. Then hydrodynamic dispersion equation is applied to simulate groundwater pollution. The case study on groundwater pollution indicates that the sensitivity value of prediction results of the mathematic model to its parameters is less than 10% and the relative error of intermediate value is 5.7%, which shows good robusticity and predictive ability.
