Performance of IBAC for Treatment of Micro-pollutant Water Polluted by Nitrobenzene
Granular activated carbon (GAC) was immobilized by priority of microbial stains with high activity in pollutants removal by means of separation, selection and innocuous technologies and then GAC was converted into artificially IBAC, which was used to treat the micro-pollutant water containing nitrobenzene. The IBAC removal efficiencies for nitrobenzene, permanganate index, turbidity, UV and ammonia were compared with GAC process. The results showed that permanganate index, turbidity and ammonia of IBAC effluent were less than 2mg/L, 0.5NTU, 0.4mg/L. Compared with GAC, it take short time for IABC to startup, short time recover to normal after impact burden.
