Hydraulic Characteristics of Recirculated Leachate
Based on the simulated experiment, the influence of recirculation frequency, rate and quantity on the movement of recirculated leachate in waste at different compact density was studied. The results show that movement mechanism of leachate are revealed to include channeled flow and seepage flow after recirculation. Movement mechanism of leachate is influenced by recirculation frequency, rate, quantity and compact density. The lower recirculation frequency and rate, the less recirculation quantity and the higher waste compact density are, the more uniform movement of recirculated leachate would be. Though the movement is more uniform at lower recirculation frequency and less recirculation quantity, moisture content of landfilled waste is lower. In order to increase the moisture content, recirculation frequency and quantity in bioreactor landfill should be appropriately improved.
