Lakebed Sludge Conversion to Hydrogen via Catalytic Pyrolysis
A series of catalytic pyrolysis were carried out on a laboratory scale fixed-bed reactor in which YuanMingYuan sludge was tested as feedstock. They were operated with and without the existence of catalyst, such as MnO2, Al2O3, TiO2. The effect of pyrolysis temperature on the volume fraction of hydrogen, and the yield of hydrogen in the gaseous product was researched. The results show that it had enormously increased the hydrogen yield when the proportion of catalyzer was 1%, the hydrogen concentration of pytolysis gas in every temperature area had heighten when the proportion of catalyzer was increased to 3%.
