Analysis of Emamectin Residues in Cabbage and Soil by QuEChERS Method Extraction and LC-MS Determination
The QuEChERS method is developed to study the residual Emamectin in cabbage and soil. Residues of Emamectin were extracted by acetonitrile/water and cleanup with PSA (primary/secondary amine), and determined by LC-MS. The averaged recoveries ranged at 77%~95%, at the fortified levels of 0.01~1.0mg/kg for the cabbage and soil, and coefficient of variation was in a range of 5.6%~12.5%. The limit of detection (LOD) for LC-MS to Emamectin was 0.5ng; the limit of quantitation (LOQ) for cabbage and soil are 0.01mg/kg. The QuEChERS method was used for the determination of Emamectin residue in cabbage and soil in field in Beijing (China). The half-life of the dissipation for Emamectin in cabbage is 1.1 days, in soil is 1.6 days. The level of residue was detected in harvest cabbage samples and soil is below 0.01mg/kg.
