Metabonomics and Its Application to Pesticide Toxicology
Metabonomics, which is defined as the quantitative measurement of the dynamic multipara-metric metabolic response of living systems to pathophysiological stimuli or genetic modification, has a wide application perspective in many fields. This approach has been applied for monitoring the environmental pollution of chemical pesticides and the studying of the mechanisms of the pesticide tox-icities. The advantages of application of this approach for pesticide toxicology and the searching of biomarkers of the pesticide poisoning in vivo were reviewed. And the experimental studying for the multiple pesticides toxicities was also described in this article.
