Synthesis and Biological Activities of N-(4-Substituted-phenyl) -N-(1-β-D-glucopyranosyl)-thiourea

Six N-(4-substituted-phenyl)-N-( 2, 3, 4, 6- tetra-O-acetyl-β-D-glucopyranosyl)-thioureas (4) were synthesized by condensation of 4-substituted-anilines (2) with 2, 3, 4, 6-tetra-O-acetyl-β-D-glucopyranosyl isothiocyanatc (3) in ethanol under reflux, respectively, and also six N-(4-substituted- phenyl-N-(1-β-D-glucopyranosyl)-thioureas (5) after deacetylation. Their structures were confirmed by IR, <1>HNMR, ESI-MS spectral data and elemental analyses. The biological activities of the compounds were investigated.
