PARAMETER ESTIMATION METHODS FOR 3-PARAMETER WEIBULL DISTRIBUTION

Present parameter estimation methods for 3-parameter Weibull distribution mostly need complicated computer program, which restricts its application. This paper makes an important improvement to correlation coefficient method for 3-parameter Weibull distribution and then reduces its computation largely. Grey method which is suitable to small size sample is introduced and curve fitting method is also proposed. Parameter estimation is made by one sample, and K-S test is done. It is shown that all the four methods are feasible.
