Chaos Immune Genetic Algorithm and Its Applications for Fault Diagnosis

In this paper, Chaos immune genetic algorithm (CIGA) is proposed. CIGA can improve search speed and avoid local optimization by adding chaos sequence which initialize antibody and renew antibody to enhancing the diversity of antibody. The proposed algorithm is applied to fault Diagnosis of power systems, which can help the operators judge the cause, location and fault elements rapidly and accurately from the protective relay failures and circuit breaker malfunction. The simulation results show that the approach is correct and efficient.
