Design of Changeable P-box and Two Modules Structure in Block Cryptosystem Based on Chaos
The idea of using a one-time-one-key design has been widely applied in conventional cryptography. According to the security theory of conventional cryptology, encryption algorithms are made public and all secrets are encoded only in the keys. This paper applies chaos theory to conventional cryptography, and takes DES for an example, generated changeable P-box by using chaotic algorithm. In fact, it makes a conventional crypto-algorithm become a changeable one which is called as generalized one-time-one-algorithm. It can be illuminated that the block cryptosystem which uses the P-box based on chaotic algorithm and two modules structure could effectively resist differential attacks and brute-force (exhaustive search) attacks of DES, by programming the system.
