Phytoremediation of metals using non-food crop plants

Results both from laboratory studies and large-scale applications using flax (Linum usitatissimum) hemp (Cannabis sativa) and kenaf (Hibiscus cannabinus L.) for metal as well as radionuclide polluted soil decontamination carried out both in Czech Republic and China, confirm the possibility of utilization of these non-food crops for sustainable land management.
