Distributed lead in tissues of pea roots (Pisum sativum) determined by LA ICP-MS
Laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA ICP MS) has been applied to determination of lead distribution in plants tissues. Plants were cultivated hydroponically in Hoagland medium supplemented with 0.5mM Pb (NO<,3>)<,2>. After 96 hours, parts of root were cut off from Pisum sativum and analyzed. The difference in the amount of lead transported through the vascular tissues was expressed as the level of signal intensity.
