Assessment of radionuclide contamination of organs and tissues of farm animals at the semipalatinsk test site
The report describes the behavior of major long-lived radionuclides in the ecosystems of the Semipalatinsk test site. The calculations carried out using mathematical model show that radionuclide content in milk and meat of animals grazing in areas with high levels of contamination may exceed permissible values.
