Speciation, bio-availability and eco-toxicology of potential toxic metals in soils: too much to ask
Speciation, bio-availability and eco-toxicology are the basis for a plethora of studies on the effects of potential toxic metals in soils. However, a proper knowledge and methodologies based on sound principles have limited the application of most of the existing data for management purposes. A proper review of the fundamentals associated to a large number of studies on assessment and effects of potential toxic metals in soils is needed.
