Changeability of the Atmospheric Electric Field Vertical Distribution in the Lower Troposphere and its Connection with the Aerosol Pollution
The results of the aircraft studies of the atmospheric electric field (Ez, V/m) vertical distribution and the aerosols concentration (n, cm -3 ) by the diameter (d) of more than 0.7 mcm are presented. Regions of studies - Tbilisi and Kakheti (60-90 km eastern of Tbilisi). Conditions for studies – cloudless atmosphere. Flight altitude – from 0.5 to 5 km above sea level. The overall level of the aerosol pollution of the atmosphere above the regions of studies was determined with the atmospheric aerosol optical depth – AOD. In the period from 1972 through 1976 yr in comparison with the period from 1965 through 1970 yr at the heights from 0.5 to 3.0 km above Tbilisi occurred an increase in the values of the Ez. Above the Kakheti in the period into the same time intervals an increase in the values of Ez occurred at the heights from 0.5 to 2.0 km.The vertical distribution of average values Ez into both periods of time above Tbilisi and Kakheti is described by exponential function from the height. An increase in the values Ez in both regions of studies is caused by an increase in the aerosol pollution of the atmosphere. The linear correlation and regression analysis of the dependences of the atmospheric electric field on the aerosols content by the different sizes in the layer of the different heights above the Kakheti are represented.
