Classification of intermediate air ion formation events at Tahkuse Observatory, Estonia
The formation of intermediate air ions is studied on the basis of long-term measurements of air ion mobility distribution from August 2003 to December 2006 at the Tahkuse Observatory (58°31’N, 24°55’E), Estonia. A wide mobility range of 0.00041–3.2 cm 2 V –1 s –1 allows observing the formation of intermediate ions and the subsequent evolution of the mobility distribution. The purpose of the study is the classification of intermediate air ion formation events according to the mobility distribution evolution.
