An approach to problems of risk Management for Structures containing sensitive equipmentdue to lightning flashes

摘要：

The paper deals with the development of the probabilistic approach to the assessment of lightning risk. The source of damage, types of damage and types of loss are defined and, accordingly, the different protection measures (lighting protection system; earthing and bonding, magnetic shielding of the structure, cables and equipment; line routing; coordinated surge protective device protection) is considered.
