NUMERICAL SIMULATION AND TECHNOLOGY OPTIMIZATION FOR PRODUCING LARGE-SIZED CASTINGS
When calculating 3-D velocity and temperature fields of mould filling and solidification processes for large-sized castings, increasing efficiency and keeping accuracy of numerical calculation were exploded. The mould filling and solidification processes of large-sized stainless steel and alloyed iron castings were simulated by using new scheme, their foundry technologies were optimized, then applying it to produce castings.
