Synthesis and Thermal Decomposition of N, N-bis (benzofuroxan) Oxalic Amide
N, N-bis (benzofuroxan) oxalic amide was synthesized from the starting materials of oxalyl chloride and 3,5-dichloroaniline, and was characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR and MS. The thermal decomposition reactions of the title compound at different heating rate are tested by differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). The kinetics parameters of the reactions of the compound are calculated by Kissingers method. The apparent activation energy (Ea) is 226.7kJ-mol1 and the pre-exponential constant (A) is 1023.17 S-1. It is presupposed that N, N-bis (benzofuroxan) oxalic amide will be a promising explosive.
