Preparation, Characterization and Kinetics of Thermal Decomposition of Some Transition Metal Nitrate Complexes of Piperidine

Nitrate complexes of 3d-transition metal with piperidine have been prepared and characterized. All these complexes are quiet stable at room temperature. Thermal decomposition of these complexes have been studied by using thermogravimetry (TG) and differential thermal analysis (DTA). Kinetics of their thermal decomposition was evaluated by applying model-fitting as well as isoconversional methods. Kinetics of thermal decomposition these complexes have been evaluated using mechanism based fourteen kinetics models and isoconversional method. Ignition delay studies have also been undertaken.
