Analysis of Strain-rate Effects on Mechanical Behaviors of HNS
In this paper, the compressive stress-strain behavior of HNS was tested using split Hopkinson pressure bar (SHPB) and universal testing machine at strain rates range from 10~(-4) to 10~3s~(-1) at room temperature. Stress-strain curves of HNS at different strain rates were obtained. The properties of thermal decomposition of recovery specimen were analyzed by DTA (differential thermal analysis) and DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimeter). Based on the experimental data and analysis, a constitutive relation was employed to describe the mechanical behavior of HNS under different strain rates.
