Pilot Study on Paraffin-based Solid Fuel
The paraffin-based solid fuel is the wonderful source for hybrid rocket motor because of its high regression rate property. Paraffin should be pre- treated in order to find application for rocket. The paraffin-based solid fuel has been fabricated by adopting pre-treated paraffin, which has no melting when combustion in atmosphere. The regression rate of fuel can be increased 99％ when 40％ content of HTPB is replaced with paraffin. The density and regression rate also can be increased consumedly by adding some fine AP and Magnesium-Aluminum alloy. The regression rate can be hardly changed when the content of carbon increase, but the density of fuel can be increased.
