Influence of the Fragmentation Degree of Glass Micro-balloons under Dynamic Pressure on Desensitization Degree of Emulsion Explosives
Glass micro-balloons act as sensitization agent in the emulsion explosives, which fragmentation degree have important effect on emulsion explosives blast properly. Glass micro-balloons which are bore different dynamic pressure are added into emulsion matrix and put into water to detonate. The Shockwave peak value is tested in the appointed point. The emulsion explosives desensitization degree is calculated according to Shockwave intensity in water. The experimental results show that the average particle size of glass micro-balloons diminished along with dynamic pressure increasing, and the larger fragmentation degree, stronger the desensitization degree of emulsion explosives. The main reason is glass micro-balloons break under dynamic pressure to induce sensitizing air bubble escape, hotspot in the emulsion explosives decrease, blasting sensitivity decline, and chemical reactivity speed of emulsion explosives declines. And all these make Shockwave pressure reducing in the appointed point.
