Research on Ammunition Safety Evaluation Influenced by Explosive Sensitivity Evaluation

Sensitivity is an index that reflects the explosives sensitivity with exoteric stress, also an important index that values ammunition safety. This article analyzes the relation between explosive sensitivity evaluation and ammunition safety evaluation, and chooses PBX-9404, PBX-9501, RDX/TNT (40/60), HMX and PBX-9011 as the research objects. Based on gray incidence theory, this article analyzes the typical explosives sensitivity parameter of impact sensitivity, concussion sensitivity, Susan sensitivity and slide experiment, and gets the degree of gray incidence, and analyzes the explosive sensitivity index evaluations influence on ammunition safety evaluation. In the end, this article comes to the conclusion that the safety evaluation level of ammunition consisting of PBX-9011 is higher than the ammunition that consist of the other four explosive, when all the other indexes evaluation values are the same.
