Research on Specific Heat Capacity of Transition Metal Picrate

The specific heat capacity (Cp) of transition metal picrates, picratol (AgPA), cobalt picrate (CoPA), copper picrate (CuPA), and hydrargyrum picrate (HgPA) is determined by differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) in the range of temperature, and the continuous curves of specific heat capacity are got. Presumed that the equation for specific heat capacity varying with temperature (7) is polynomial, Origin software is used to fit the equation. The results show that Cp of CoPA varies much by reason of the loss of crystal water in the range of 85-105℃. The equation of Cp vs. T for CoPA conforms to cubic function in 53.45- 84.55℃, conforms to quintic function in 108.76- 145.36℃, that for CuPA and HgPA conform to quintic function in 50.12-100.09℃, that for AgPA conforms to quadratic function. The fitting correlation coefficient is better, that is R≥0.982, and SD≤ 0.0302.
