Thermal Decomposition Study of Hexanitrohexaazaisowurtzitane
In order to understand the thermal behavior of hexanitrohexaazaisowurtzitane (HNIW), HNIW was studied by thermogravimetry-mass spectrometry (TG- MS), thermogravimetry-fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy (TG-FTIR), mass spectrometry (MS) with heating program at the same thermal decomposition conditions. Thermal decomposition kinetic of HNIW was analyzed. The results show that the main gaseous products from the thermal decomposition of HNIW are NO, N2O, NO2, CO2, C2N2H2 detected by TG-MS. The main gaseous products of HNIW are C02, NO, N20, N02, HCN, HCNO, HCOOH, H20 by TG-FTIR. Through the mass spectrometry with heating program experiments, the main products from the decomposition are m/z 197 (C5H5N6O3), 213 (C5H5N6O4), 224 (C6H6N7O3), 270 (C6H6N8O5), their activation energy Ea are 106.7, 100.2,99.8,110.8kj/mol, respectively.
