About Combustion Mechanism of Metal Contained Pyrotechnical Mixture
The amount and properties condensed particles of the combustion products of metal contained solid propellant are the important for the efficiency of these propellants and determined its specific impulse and thrust. For study of these properties have been designed the experimental methods of the collection probes and the determination of the condensed particles distribution by size and contents. The significance of this study is the designing the new complex methods for study the condensed products of combustion and the study of the mechanism combustion of the metal particles in the combustion zones of the metal contained solid propellants. The study has been done for the two active metals aluminum and magnesium. The results of these investigations have shown then magnesium burn very actively with formation mainly small particles and for case of aluminum contained solid propellant there are shown the agglomeration of the aluminum particles on the combustion surface. In the comparison with the previous studies in this direction there were applied more modern universal laser counting method for the recording the distribution the condensed particles by size and that our study of the condensed products formation have been done for more concentrated by metal contents solid propellants.
