Characteristics of Combustion Metal Contained Propellant with Water Oxidizer

Main purpose of this work is a study for basic phenomenon of combustion of propellant with high concentration of active metals-magnesium and aluminum in the water oxidizer. These phenomenon and parameters are possibility of the complete combustion in the combustion chamber with input oxidizer water, the amount of metal in the hydro reactive propellant and the stability of the combustion. The significance of this study is based on the determination of the dependences for the design the optimal constructions of the effective combustion chambers for the effective burning of the metal powders in the water oxidizer. For this experimental study there was made the theoretical study of the possible processes of the combustion for the combustion of the pyrotechnical metal contained mixtures with two active metals Mg and Al. In the comparison with the previous investigations in this field the new result for the dependences of the strand burning velocity of the pyrotechnic high concentration metal contained solid propellant for cases Mg and Al metal contained model mixtures at the atmospheric conditions. Analyze of the combustion chamber operating with possible variants of combustion have been made too.
