Experimental Study of Single Ignition FAE Shock Wave Diffused in Free Air

The experimental studies were performed in the open field. The whole process of explosion was recorded by high speed photography, and the images provided clearly showed the expansion of shock wave and the separation of shock wave and the fire ball. The rule was revealed by analyzing the images. When the central medicine explodes, due to the high pressure generated in the process, the explosive product pushed the air around just like a piston thus to form air shock wave. The air shock wave quickly swept the fuel and dispersed the fuel while igniting it. Then the products expanded further. When the products and shock wave expanded to a certain ultimate radius, it was separated from the fireball surface and shock wave moved at a speed higher than that of the fireball expansion. With the wave transmitting, the positive pressure area became broader and the pressure of the wave surface, and the shock wave evolved sound wave finally.
