Effect of Porous Material on Suppressing Gas Explosion
Recently industrial explosion accidents frequently happened. How to effectively control shock wave overpressure in open space and limit space has been the hot problem. In this paper the effect of metal pottery porous material on explosion overpressure and flame propagation was studied. The experimental results shows that porous materials can effectively lower explosion overpressure and suppress explosion development. The special structure of porous materials is suitable for quenching combustion flame and decreasing explosive noise.
