Investigation on Explosion Characteristic of Fully-Prefabricated Frag-Demolition Warhead Detonated at Two Points
The explosively driven process of a fully- prefabricated frag-demolition warhead being detonated at two points is numerically simulated by applying the LS-DYNA program. The flying process and the motion characteristics of the W-balls (wolfram balls) are obtained by exploring the propagation law of the detonation wave, the interactivity between the wave and the W-balls layer along with that between different W-balls layers. Simulation results are coincident with the analytic solution. The investigation methods and results can provide some technique preparation and support to the research and development of the frag-demolition warhead and the other similar weapons.
