Application Study of Ni/Al Composite Powder in Solid Propellant
This paper researched the application of Ni/Al composite powder (Ni/Al composite powder consists of an aluminum core coated with a thin layer of nickel) used in the solid propellant. The result shows that the powder of Ni/Al composite powder can substitute for the powder of Al. And this change can predigest the project and reduce the cost, make the admixture more homogeneous, and enhance the performance of the propellant. We can make up for the lost energy with adjusting the formulation. The danger of the technics is reduced because the powder of Ni severs the relationship between the powder of Al and air.
