Catalysis Decomposition and Ignition Characteristic Studies of Hydrogen Peroxide and Special Kerosene

This paper studied homogeneous catalysis hypergolic ignition characteristic of hydrogen peroxide and special kerosene (added hypergolic additive ) for development liquid rocket propellant of non-toxic and high performance. The rate and ignition delay models for catalytic decomposition reaction were brought forwards and experiments of ignition delay were carried out. It was found when concentration of hydrogen peroxide is increased, the temperature of the composition combustion and the concentration of oxygen in product are increased. The repetition of the experimental results is good with different additive and mixture ration. If we want to shorten the ignition delay, we have to decrease the content of special kerosene. The discrepancy between experimental and theoretic results is 10%.
