Mathematical Modelling of the Processes of Solid Fuel Ignition and Combustion at Combustors of the Power Boilers
Plasma activation promotes more effective and environmental friendly low-rank coals incineration. The work presents numerical modeling results of plasma ignition and thermochemical preparation of the pulverized coal for burning at power boilers. Thermodynamic code TERRA allows calculating products composition of plasma activated pulverized coal depended on temperature, pressure and plasma source power. Kinetic code considering plasma source PLASMA- COAL gives initial data for 3D-modeling of power boilers furnaces by FLOREAN code. Simulations by all three codes were compared with experiments.
