Numerical Simulation of Hemisphere Shell Explosive Isostatic Pressing
It is important to understand the mechanics state of explosive pressed for controlling the quality explosive charge. A thermal/structural coupled calculation model of the hemisphere shell explosive isostatic pressing was set up. The numerical simulations of the hemispherical explosive isosatic pressing were conducted. The pressures and temperatures in the explosives were given. The deformations, pressures and temperatures distribution in the explosives were analyzed. The results indicated that the undersurface of explosive shell was sunken by isostatic pressing. The pressures in explosive exceeded the surface pressure because of the stress waves impacting each other. The temperatures were increased and not uniform in explosives.
