Finite Element Analysis of Interfacial Debonding in Solid Propellants
By considering of the microscopic damage of solid propellant, a cohesive interface model was adopted to capture the debonding process taking place along particles binder interface. The effects of interfacial strength on the mechanical behavior were also examined. It shows that the model proposed by this study can predict the progress of debonding of particles from binder. And the interfacial strength greatly affects the mechanical performance of propellant.
