Influence of Parameter Setting on the Simulation Result of Underwater Explosion Using LS-DYNA
The numerical simulation of underwater explosion of the spherical uncased explosive charge is carried out by using LS-DYNA. The influence of the parameters (such as the grid shape and its size, parameters of equation of state and artificial viscosity coefficients, etc.) on the simulation result is analyzed. After simulating the explosion for several groups of parameters and comparing the result with the empirical equation, the rules of the influence are found. A group of reasonable parameters, which could reduce the element number of the model and the calculation time, are found.
