Porosity Effect on Shaped Charge Jet Speed from Powder Metallurgical Liner
Powder metallurgical material as one of the potential material for the shaped charge liner in the future, the mechanical property of which is different from that of solid material because of the existence of porosity. The characteristics of porous material and porosity effect on the detonation pressure and energy were analyzed, the engineering calculation formula suitable for shaped charge jet from powder metallurgical liner was presented based on the classical Gurney formula revised and collapse exponential mode given by Randers-pehrson, and the porosity effect on the porous jet speed was discussed. It is shown that the jet speed decreases with the porosity increased under the same quality per area.
