Simulation Study on Dynamics Response of Sphere Tank to Shock Wave
Simulation analysis on dynamics response of sphere tank to shock wave was done. The software LS-DYNA was used to calculate the relationship between shock wave overpressure and time resulted from explosion of tank filled with 50m3 liquefied petroleum gas. And the result was loaded on sphere tank located at 50m away and the influence of shock wave on tanks was simulated at the aspects of structure intensity and structure stability. The simulation results indicate that sphere tank has well mechanics capability and structure stability under the impact of shock wave. But, in the process of unloading, the slight dithering phenomenon appeared. So, when the intension of impact load is more, sphere tank maybe appear destabilization, which may result in structure invalidation.
