Zirdan RCC Dam, Lessons Learned

摘要：

Zirdan RCC dam is the third RCC dam in Iran, under construction in south-east of the country in a very secluded area with severe climate, hot area with a wild river with rush floods. The primary design was done based on the RCD design concept. Jahan Kowsar (Dam and Tunnel Engineering) Company as the contractor of the project, with the aid of an experienced specialist, proposed some modifications to improve the construction methods and speed up the construction procedure. Also during the construction period some lessons were learned which are presented in this paper.
