Simulation of Temperature Control and Crack Prevention of Longtan RCC Gravity Dam
Characteristics of thermal control problems of Longtan dam, which is the highest RCC dam under construction, are illustrated in this thesis. The methods of simulation analysis of Longtan dam to prevent impair cracks and main analysis results are also introduced. The simulation results and results of feedback analysis of observed data show that it necessary to carry out simulation analysis of dam before construction in order to prevent impair cracks and ensure the quality of the project, especially for RCC dams with high construction intensity. Many aspects should be considered in the simulation analysis, such as standards of thermal control, scheme of concrete placement, construction processes and pouring simulation, etc.
