Shrinkage Compensation Effect Analysis and Stress Simulation of Yujianhe RCC Arch Dam with MgO Content
Yujian River Arch Dam is a RCC dam mixing MgO, which is 81m high in Guizhou Province. This paper introduces the analytical method of simulation of inducing joint, stress and whole structural temperature compensation of MgO expansion. The measures of jointing and thermal control are defined to improve effect through simulation of Yujian River Arch Dam, analysis of monitoring data and research of shrinkage with temperature compensation mixing MgO. The results indicate that it can meet the requirements for crack prevention and quick construction by the means of making 4joints, mixing 3-4% MgO, finishing roller compaction from November to May next year and general measures without other special method. Further more, it is proved successful through operation in several years.
