Studies on the Construction Technology under High Temperature Condition and Its Application in Longtan Dam
Longtan Hydropower Station is the highest RCC dam under construction in the world, with characteristics of short construction duration, high construction strength which require continuous construction over year passing high-temperature seasons. Therefore, a series of studies on key technology for constructing dam with RCC have been proceeded and great achievements have been obtained, such as concrete mixing ratio, the control for concreting temperature and interval time between the concreting lifts. Detailed temperature control standard and construction requirements during rainy season have been put forward. Applying the continuous construction technologies in high-temperature seasons, RCC of 3. 18 million m3 has been completed in 2005.
